2024: a landmark year for Sevivon

Dynamic development of renewable energy projects and the initiation of a major hydrogen venture made 2024 a successful year for Sevivon.

Currently, Sevivon is simultaneously developing over 60 wind and solar projects, including hybrid installations combining both energy sources. Their total planned capacity is 3.1 GW. For most projects, planning procedures and accompanying public consultations have already been initiated under current regulations regarding renewable energy installations. We are closely monitoring the announced liberalization of wind turbine location regulations to ensure the company is prepared for new policies.

Dialogue with local governments at various levels was crucial for all these projects. The company collaborated with them on a day to day basis, but also on a strategic level, serving as a renewable energy partner for the Polish Rural Communes Association and the Polish Towns Forum.

Sevivon also expanded its operations into the hydrogen sector: the company began feasibility studies for large-scale green hydrogen production in West Pomerania. In developing the planned West Pomeranian Green Hydrogen Cluster, PNE and Sevivon's partners include Polish and German natural gas transmission operators: GAZ-SYSTEM and GASCADE Gastransport GmbH. The project encompasses building 2 GW worth of wind and solar farms powering electrolysis installations with a combined capacity of 1 GW. The consortium received funding for a feasibility study from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA).

Sevivon maintains a team of experts across various specialties, enabling the company to independently implement wind and solar investments: from property contracting through planning procedures, obtaining environmental decisions and building permits, financing, to construction and operation, including technical supervision.

An important change in the company’s management also took place. Holger Gallas, previously a board member, became Sevivon's new CEO. He replaced Stefan Ebeling, who had led PNE AG's operations in Poland since 2001 and managed Sevivon for 15 years since its establishment in 2008.

With an expanded project portfolio and optimistic prospects for unlocking wind energy in Poland, Sevivon begins implementing its plans for 2025.
