PNE Polska will “adopt” a section of a valuable flower meadow in Nieborów for another year

The company has confirmed the continuation of its cooperation with the Kwietna Foundation, which runs a private meadow ecosystem reserve in Nieborów.

The Foundation conducts practical research on sustainable meadow management on 10 hectares of lowland hay and purple moor-grass meadows, reconciling the needs of protected plant, bird, and butterfly habitats through optimal care. This involves for example carefully selecting the timing of mowing without compacting the soil, which needs a balanced water-air ratio, as well as avoiding uniform mowing and creating diverse niches through the use of scythes and grazing sheep and goats.

This is the second year that PNE Polska has been caring for this valuable natural ecosystem. The company also supports the foundation's activities through employee volunteering but it is not just about social responsibility. Thanks to the cooperation, PNE is gathering knowledge about complex biocenotic relationships, some of which can be transferred to the management of vegetation under the panels of photovoltaic projects developed by the company.
