Solar energy from PNE Polska

Photovoltaics

Our portfolio of photovoltaic projects currently under development in Poland includes 40 farms with a total capacity of 800 MW.

When planning photovoltaic power plants, we carefully consider the location. We develop our projects in areas with high potential, which have so far been used primarily for agricultural purposes. We make our selections after a series of analyses conducted by our experts and in cooperation with local partners. Our key competencies include site assessment, land acquisition, project development and turnkey construction of photovoltaic power plants.

When developing photovoltaic projects, we are particularly keen to gain public acceptance and the commitment of all stakeholders. That is why we focus on transparent cooperation with municipalities and partnership-based cooperation with private and public landowners.

Local supply chains

Community-driven success

We see the involvement of local residents as the key to success. We strive to work with local companies at various stages – during project preparation, construction and operation (e.g. farm maintenance) – to support employment and local businesses in the vicinity of our projects.

Which locations are suitable?

Landowners

Locations vary in terms of conditions, and these factors can be very complex. With us, you have a reliable and trustworthy partner for the development of your project – and subsequently also for the operation – of a photovoltaic installation on your property. As the owner, you benefit from our experience – you don't have to worry about permits, planning or project implementation. You enjoy stable benefits from the lease agreement for around 30 years.

Are you a landowner? We would be happy to analyse the potential of your property and provide you with a non-binding lease offer.

Photovoltaic farms and biodiversity

Sustainable energy and ecosystem benefits

Renewable energy production, and in particular the installation of photovoltaic systems in open spaces, helps the environment in two ways: we generate sustainable energy, reducing our carbon footprint, and we increase biodiversity by creating new habitats for insects, birds and other animals.

During the operation of a photovoltaic power plant, the soil in its area has a chance to regenerate after intensive, long-term cultivation: without artificial fertilisers and plant protection products, as well as the inflow of nitrates into groundwater from slurry and other fertilisers. As a result, the soil is biologically restored and the species richness of small animals and rare plants increases significantly.

The absence of pesticides and fungicides also protects insects and wild bees from poisoning. At the same time, wild herbs and flowers growing on the photovoltaic power plant site are a valuable source of food for animals in different seasons, which in turn contributes to the return of insects to these areas. Such natural reintroduction has a beneficial effect on the surrounding flora and fauna, enriching the local ecosystem. In addition, the fenced area of the farm can provide a safe location for bee apiaries.

By installing a photovoltaic system on your land, you protect the environment, promote energy transition and secure a reliable and steady income for a long time.
