Jasna wind farm
Award-winning engineering
The Jasna wind farm is located in the windy, northern part of the country. The power plant with a total nominal capacity of 132 MW is one of the largest Polish onshore wind farms.
The Jasna wind farm is the largest onshore project of PNE to date.
A particular engineering challenge was the size of the wind farm: 39 turbines stretched in the north-south direction for approx. 17 km. The connection route to the transformer station, which is approx. 70 km long and crosses two rivers: the Vistula and the Nogat,1 was also demanding. As part of the high-voltage transmission line, approx.
250 drillings (microtunneling) were made, the longest of which, with a length of almost 1.5 km, crosses the Vistula.
During the 17th edition of the "Trenchless Engineering" Conference, one of the awarded companies was the one that carried out the 1450 m long drilling for the high-voltage line for the Jasna Farm developed by PNE Polska (then Sevivon sp. z o.o.). The subcontractor of the General Contractor ALDESA, PPI Chrobok S.A., received an award for performing the horizontal directional drilling under the Vistula River for the Jasna Wind Farm in the "Project of the Year – new installation" category. The investor, Windfarm Polska III Sp. z o.o., was also awarded the Titanium Laurel of the Investor.
